There was a wide range of equipment – all in good working condition.
If you’re looking for a heavy workout, there’s plenty of options – more than 440 lbs/200 kgs in weight plates.
Gym instructors were available to help out and PT sessions could be booked.
The hotel gym itself is large and the equipment is spaced out (sufficient for social distancing). There were two hygiene stations and sanitizer dispensers as well as cleaners regularly cleaning the gym equipment and changing the bins.
Good music was playing in the hotel gym and the Wi-Fi connection was good, if you want to listen to your own music.
The natural and artificial lighting as well as air conditioning was good.
There weren’t any exercise mats which might be COVID related.
Cardio equipment is somewhat limited which meant that it was often occupied and left people waiting. Obviously, the COVID situation resulting in some of the equipment being sealed off didn’t help.
The hotel gym overlooks the pool areas at either side of the hotel gym. It’s good that you can look outside and have a little bit of a view. However, I found it a little strange as it must be slightly uncomfortable for those swimming in the pool or relaxing on the sun loungers.
I don’t recall the open hours but it was open every day – you just sign in at the reception.
Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Yes!
