Equipment
Dumbbells go up to 26 lbs/12 kgs and there’re three adjustable benches (somewhat wobbly) including a decline option to work with.
There’s also a barbell of around 55 lbs/25 kgs, but it wasn’t possible to change the weight by adding or removing plates, since the clips were tightened way too hard.
There’s also a Smith like machine available, but with the weight plates available, there’s a maximum weight of 100 lbs/45 kgs, approximately.
In terms of cardio equipment, there’re two treadmills, a cross-trainer and a stationary bike.
Accessories include a step bench, an exercise ball and a handful of exercise mats. There’s also a back extension bench and a so-called “Power Tower PT500”.

The hotel gym is open 24/7 – you gain access via your room card.
As such, it’s quite spacious – but the overall impression of the available equipment is that it’s limited and worn out. There should be a wider range of dumbbells. If they didn’t want to invest in several machines, they should invest in more weight plates and a squat rack plus a cable machine which actually worked.
There was a cable linked to a lat pull-down bar which could somehow be attached to the bar on the Smith machine, but since the connection part on the cable was broken, it was impossible to use.
With all handles and cables missing on the power tower, you could only use it for dips, leg raises, chin-ups and pull-ups.
When I used the hotel gym the first time, it was extremely hot inside. However, there’s a fully functional AC installed which solved the problem.
Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
No, I don’t think so. Although it is indeed possible to log a solid workout in this hotel gym, I’d expect more of a hotel at this level.
