The hotel gym is clean, and I loved the huge mirror.
I was sad to see they didn’t have a cable machine and an area to do core workouts. Other than that, I guess it’s suitable for a few days.
The dumbbells don’t get heavy enough.
 
Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Not sure. The hotel gym is too small, and the limited equipment means that I have to revamp my entire workout routine. It also means I’m having to fill the gap with cardio which I don’t really like.

Accessories include foam rollers, exercise balls, medicine balls and elastics.

It’s an excellent hotel gym perfectly located in the hotel: Situated on a corner with wraparound glass for a wonderful view of the surrounding area.
The hotel gym itself is spotless with excellent and up-to-date equipment.
They even offer cold wet towels in addition to dry towels.

Yes, undoubtedly! I would definitely stay there again.

There’s a nice selection of dumbbells with lots of high weights – up to 100 lbs/45 kgs.
 
The gym had cross trainers, stair masters, and rowing machines in addition to a row of treadmills. In the weights section it included everything you need for a solid workout: a shoulder press, chest press, leg press, leg extension, leg curl, and a lat pull down machine. However, several machines surprisingly had signs saying, “out of order”.

The surprise to me was that the weights went as heavy as they did – often hotel gyms only go up to 50 lbs/22 kgs, but their weight racks went up to 100 lbs/45 kgs. The lighter weights (5 lbs/2 kgs to 30 lbs/13 kgs) were in constant demand in the morning. There were actually some people using the heavier weights, which was fun. However, it would’ve been more helpful to have more of the lower weights, and maybe go up by 10 lbs/4 kgs on the heavier weights, as they were in less demand.
 
The lat pull-down machine wasn’t my favorite type. Since the leg press was the kind of leg press where you’re pushed back rather than pushing the weights away from your body which limits the range of motion, nor was it my preferred leg press machine.
 
Cleanliness was very good, and they had many fresh towels, sprays to wipe down equipment, and options of pre-moistened cleaning wipes.
 
The gym was extremely crowded every morning we used it, and it gets pretty hot in there with masks required.

Yes, it’s a great hotel gym!

There’s a pretty cool cardio area as well covering stair-masters, stationary bikes, cross-trainers and treadmills.

It wasn’t the biggest or most equipped hotel gym I’ve ever been to, but had enough equipment to get my workouts in.
The hotel gym and its equipment were clean and service at the Westin is top notch.
They also had daily peloton rides and yoga outside.
I love the 24-hour access!

There’re several kinds of cable machines as well as machines for seated rows and lat pull-downs. The range of dumbbells as well as kettlebells is quite impressive for a hotel gym there’s plenty of adjustable benches.
 
There’s a big cardio section with everything from Peloton bikes, stationary bikes, stair-masters, treadmills and cross-trainers.
 
They also have an open-air setup with dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX ropes and a punching bag.

The opening hours are 24/7.
The hotel gym is spacious – there’s even an open-air area – and everything is clean and updated.
I was pleasantly surprised at the outdoor space. It was refreshing with the Hawaiian breeze. I love the amount of cardio machines and they had an assault type-of treadmill which I love.
I was disappointed to see they didn’t have a Smith machine, but most hotel gyms don’t.

Yes! It was such a clean and well-equipped hotel gym. With the outdoor space, it had such a refreshing vibe. I wanted to work out there more than go to the beach which was also incredible.

I didn’t like the location of the hotel gym: It’s tuck away down a corridor on the 2nd floor. I was startled as it’s a dark corridor leading you to it and the main door to the hotel gym didn’t work with the room key. You had to go through the staff door and then enter the hotel gym.
 
The hotel gym faces the indoor pool, without windows and with low ceilings.
 
The hotel doesn’t have good security, so anyone can come off the street and into the elevators.
 
The hotel gym itself was clean and the equipment was good and in working order.
 
Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
No – due to the location and lack of security.

There weren’t any yoga mats – I wish they’d had that for stretching.
 
The hotel has an arrangement with “Pivotal Fitness” – a full-service gym next to the hotel with classes that you can use.
